School Uniform and Appearance

1. School Uniform and Appearance * Students must attend school in a clean, neat, and proper school uniform every day and during all school functions. * Students above Class VI are not permitted to wear casual clothes on birthdays or any special occasions in school. * Maintaining personal hygiene and a disciplined appearance is expected from every student. 2. School Almanac * Every student must carry the school Almanac to school daily. * The Almanac should contain the student’s photograph and complete personal details. 3. Respect for School Property * Students must treat the school building, furniture, walls, boards, and all school property with care and respect. * Writing or scribbling on desks, walls, or notice boards is considered a punishable offence. * Any damage caused to school property will be repaired at the expense of the student responsible. 4. Discipline and Conduct * Discipline, good manners, and respectful behavior are compulsory for all students. * Bullying, use of abusive language, rowdy behavior, or any act of indiscipline will invite strict disciplinary action. * The school reserves the right to suspend, rusticate, or expel students whose behavior is harmful to others or whose conduct violates school rules. * Students are expected to maintain harmony and respect toward everyone irrespective of caste, religion, or community. 5. Prohibited Activities * Smoking or use of tobacco products. * Consumption of drugs, intoxicants, or harmful substances. * Use of violence or physical aggression. * Shouting, whistling, or spitting in and around the school premises. * Damaging school property. * Practicing casteism, communalism, or untouchability. 6. Mobile Phones and Valuables * Students are strictly prohibited from bringing mobile phones, smart gadgets, expensive watches, iPods, iPads, or excess cash to school. * Confiscated mobile phones or prohibited items will not be returned based on claims or arguments. * In case of emergency, students may use the school telephone facility. 7. Birthday Celebrations * Celebration of birthdays inside the school canteen or classrooms is not permitted. * Students are expected to maintain simplicity and discipline on such occasions. 8. Attendance Rules * Regular attendance is compulsory for all students. * Students from Classes I to VIII must maintain at least 80% attendance during the academic session to become eligible for final assessments. * Students of senior classes are also required to maintain the prescribed attendance percentage before examinations. * Attendance relaxation may only be granted on medical grounds with approval from the Principal. * Students achieving 100% attendance will be awarded a Certificate of Merit. 9. Leave and Absence * Parents must record the reason for every absence in the “Record for Non-Attendance” section. * Leave during regular working days is generally not granted except in cases of illness or emergency. * Students absent without permission for more than three consecutive weeks may have their names removed from the school rolls. * Students must report to school immediately after vacations unless prior information has been given. 10. Medical and Health Guidelines * Students returning after illness must submit a medical fitness certificate from a registered doctor. * In case of contagious or infectious diseases, students may rejoin school only after completing the required quarantine period and producing a doctor’s certificate. * Students suffering from illnesses such as Chickenpox, Measles, Mumps, Cholera, Jaundice, Whooping Cough, or Swine Flu must follow the prescribed recovery period before returning to school. 11. Half-Day Permission * Students will not be allowed to leave school during working hours unless there is a genuine medical or emergency reason. * Parents must personally come to school and accompany the child home in such cases. 12. Academic Progress and Discipline * The school may take disciplinary action against students whose academic progress remains unsatisfactory or whose behavior negatively affects the school environment. * Students are encouraged to maintain sincerity, discipline, punctuality, and respect toward teachers, classmates, and school authorities at all times.
